Hi! I’m a bilingual Métis woman, a second-degree black belt, and the Youth Hub Coordinator at Huddle. I have crazy auntie energy and I’m always trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I work to provide voices for youth and their families through advocacy and compassion and I’m super passionate about community-based practices.

Barbara Chiamaka Ukwuegbu (She/Her)

Peer Leader

Barbara Chiamaka Ukwuegbu (She/Her)

Hello! I’m Barbz, or “B,” the Peer leader/Facilitator at Huddle. I’m an Igbo girl born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, who moved to Canada at 17 and fell in love with Winnipeg. I hold an Advanced Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Manitoba in Psychology and Family Social Science with dreams of becoming a licensed therapist in the near future. I love being creative and find myself inspired by every and anything around. Give me an ugly-looking lemon and I’ll make you a sweet lemonade that your tastebuds will never forget.

Violet Baptiste (She/Her)

Youth Hub Peer Leader

Violet Baptiste (She/Her)

Hi! I’m Violet, an Indigenous woman from Treaty 1 and 3 territories. I’ve been an active serving member of the Canadian Forces for five years. My biggest inspiration in life has always been my mom, who overcame many struggles while supporting four children and pursuing an education in social work. She was an exceptional woman!

Grace (she/her)

Therapist

Grace (she/her)

What’s up? I’m Grace. I’m a counsellor who provides a safe space to share stories and address any mental health concerns you may have. I am a queer person and intersectional feminist, both of which are integral to my identity. Through conversations together, my hope is you will be able to recognize your strengths and access resources available to you when you need support. My hobbies include singing, watching mystery shows on TV, and playing games with friends.

Chantal Pujo (She/Her)

Bilingual Counsellor

Chantal Pujo (She/Her)

Bonjour! I’m Chantal. I’m a proud Franco-Manitoban, born and raised in Winnipeg. I am a bilingual counsellor who’s been working with teens and adults for over 13 years. My approach is collaborative, rooted in creating meaningful connections and building on a person’s existing strengths. You’re the expert in your own life and experiences, and I feel privileged for the opportunity to walk alongside you. I love to spend time with my family and friends, enjoying nature and the outdoors. I’m always inspired by simple expressions of kindness and compassion.

is a peer leader/facilitator at the Youth Hub/Huddle. He is born and raised in Winnipeg and lived in the old St. Vital area for most of his life. Dylan will obtain a Psychology Honours degree from the University of Winnipeg in June. When he isn’t nose deep in reading and/or completing research papers, Dylan enjoys reading nonfiction books that pertain to many different elements of Psychology and the social sciences. After he's enjoyed binging one too many tv episodes, he enjoys going on brisk walks and keeping active to help maintain his mental health.

The services at Huddle South Central are provided by the Youville health centres, in collaboration with Centre de santé St. Boniface, Aulneau Renewal Centre, Sara RielMarymound, Women’s Health Clinic and Teen Stop Jeunesse.

At Huddle, youth have a safe space to be authentically themselves. We welcome and respect people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, ethnicities, faiths, race/nationalities, and abilities.

We empower all youth, families, and services providers to show the same respect to others and to celebrate each other’s differences.

Get Involved

Our Youth Advisory Council offers participants a chance to work with our team on event planning, giving back to our community, and offering peer support to other youth seeking help. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30PM – 7:30PM and always share a yummy meal together!

We also recently launched our Adult Advisory Council—are you interested in becoming a member?
